The ePropulsion Pod 6.0 EVO is currently simply the pod motor with the most coherent price-performance ratio for motor and batteries. The installation and commissioning was easy.
We have had bad experiences with other manufacturers and have therefore switched. Ideally, a more stylish and functional display would be suitable for our boat. We have integrated a multifunctional touch display using a shunt.

The control is possible thanks to the comfortable remote control forward and backward. Communication takes place via an integrated 3.5 inch compact module.

Infinitely variable control of the speed using the wireless Bluetooth control. One push is enough to start the electrically powered motor.

The controller is not included in the delivery. You have the choice between a top-mounted gas lever including display and a laterally mountable variant with a separate display.

6.0 EVO Rotating Pod - Technology

Very quiet - under 60dB! The electric motor is therefore significantly quieter than combustion engines.

Thanks to the high efficiency of the high-quality, brushless DC motor, the motor achieves an overall efficiency of 50%.

Maintenance-free for life. The drives are designed for continuous use underwater. Only the anodes need to be checked annually.

If necessary, a folding propeller can be used. Recuperation only works with the standard propeller and with the ePropulsion E-Series batteries.
Rotatable Pod 6.0 EVO pod motor - Battery range
Driving time and range depend mainly on the boat (weight and length) and the battery. In combination with an E175 battery with a total of ~9 kWh, we achieved the following speeds and ranges in the test with a 30-foot sailing boat:
Under full load with the ePorpulsion Pod 6.0 EVO, the batteries last about 1.5 hours in motion. In the test at 12.9 km/h, a range of 19.2 km can be achieved.
At half load of 3 kW, we were able to drive for a total of 3 hours. Speed of 10.5 km/h and a range of about 31 km.
Those who plan longer and more comfortable tours on the water can go much further with less power. When driving under partial load (1,000 W), one battery charge lasts around 9 hours. With the E175, a range of ~70 km is realistic.
For the Pod 6.0 EVO, we recommend the following batteries:

Battery of the ePropulsion Pod 6.0 EVO rotating pod motor
Thanks to the uniform voltage of 48V, you can easily bring your desired battery on board. This allows batteries to be connected in parallel and combined. Please note our instructions regarding the batteries used and sufficient storage space.
The lithium-ion battery can also be quickly made roadworthy depending on the charger. The charger should be chosen depending on the desired battery size. We are happy to support you here in our free telephone consultation or with our digital advisor.
The manufacturer ePropulsion - electric underwater motors
