The Cruise 2.0 is in contrast to the Travel 1103 not completely silent. The gearbox produces a slight whistling sound. The engine is nevertheless significantly quieter than combustion engines.
The motors are absolutely maintenance-free.
Thanks to the brushless DC motor, the motor achieves high overall efficiency.

Cruise 3.0 range for sailing boats

Travel time and range depend on the boat and battery. In an example with the Cruise 3.0 and the Power 24-3500 battery, we have the following readings for sailing boats up to 1.5 tons:

If you plan longer and more comfortable tours on the water, you will even get a lot further with less power. At 1/4 of the power, a speed of 5 km/h (2.7 knots) was reached for 8 hours. All in all a range of 40 km (21 nautical miles). And that with only one battery charge.

Range of the Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 FP Podmotor

For operation, a supply of at least one lithium battery (Power 26-104) or lead batteries (lead gel or AGM) must be provided. The Power 24/3500 has 26 V, 2,500 Wh and a weight of 25 kg. Others can also be connected in parallel to increase the range of the Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 FP Podmotor.

In displacement mode, the required power increases exponentially. If you want to double your speed, you need eight times the power. At the same time, you can increase the range enormously during your excursion if you reduce the speed a little.

The charger for Cruise 3.0 Podmotor

The matching charger Power 24-3500 has a charging current of 10 A and is waterproof according to IP 65. The charger charges the Power 24-3500 from 0 to 100% in max. 14 hours and Power 26-104 from 0 to 100% in max. 11 hours.

Alternatively, a quick charger only takes just under two hours, but is not so gentle on the longevity of the batteries.

Solar charging possible even while driving
The free map app in combination with the Bluetooth adapter TorqTrac offers optimal handling on the water.
There are various optional chargers and a range of spare parts just in case.
There is also the possibility of control with a tiller directly on the motor. Remote throttle lever, which communicates with the engine via Bluetooth.
