ePropulsion H-85 inboard engine

Driving time and range naturally depend on the battery and the 50-ton ship being operated. With an 85 kWh battery, the following range can be achieved:

• At 1/2 power, the driving pleasure lasts for a 2-hour ride at a decent cruising speed. This concept is particularly suitable for the ferry concept with regular charges.

• Those who plan longer tours on the water can go much further with less power. At 1/4, 85 kWh is easily enough for 4 hours of driving.

The battery should be determined depending on the boat weight and the planned range.

Another exciting application field is the use of electric drive without a battery system. Especially for ships that are in continuous operation, the permanent drive via generator can be worthwhile. The big advantage is the extremely high efficiency of the electric motor at 96%.

In an example project by ePropulsion, up to 300L of diesel can be saved thanks to the H-60 electric motor, even for a ship that is on the move daily. For the operator, the conversion is often already worthwhile within the first few years and the ongoing maintenance costs are also much lower.

ePropulsion Technology Limited produces electric boat drives without gears and with a high-quality brushless DC motor. The motors are therefore extremely quiet and low-maintenance. ePropulsion offers boat motors with a wide range of functions such as GPS. Of course, suitable lithium-ion batteries and chargers are also available in the range.

The motors in elegant design in combination with the powerful batteries ensure long-lasting performance. They are easy to handle, safe and technically up to date. They are therefore ideal for getting started in e-mobility on the water.

The smart throttle from ePropulsion comes with a 5" display for the best possible overview of all driving values. The display is therefore significantly larger than that of the smaller outboard motors. Visually, the color display definitely has a lot to offer.

For publication, there will be a top and side throttle. Each in single or dual version. A twin system is therefore possible for each of the inboard engines. Further controls have already been announced.
