Why are Ultimatron batteries so cheap?
In short: Ultimatron saves in the right places. The quality of cells and BMS is comparable with other manufacturers. The big advantage lies in efficient logistics. There are hardly any middlemen who earn money on the batteries and unnecessary transport costs are eliminated - good for the wallet and the environment.
Another difference is the lower discharge currents (150A instead of 200A). A cheaper BMS is used and the currents are still enough for most sterndrives and outboards. Another difference from Liontron or CS batteries is a slightly shorter manufacturer warranty of 3 years instead of 5. The app is also not quite as clear and intuitive compared to Liontron or Forster, but it does the job.

The app shows in real time the state of charge, the remaining capacity and the charge cycles. In addition, of course, still for safety relevant factors such as temperature, voltage and charge or discharge current.
