Range information
Travel time and range depend on the battery. In an example with the Travel 1103 and the 915 Wh battery, we have the following readings:
- Under full load, the electric motor lasts approximately 50 minutes. The speed in the case is around 10 km/h (5.5 knots). Within the short time, a range of 8.3 kilometers could thus be covered. (4.6 nautical miles).
- At half power, the driving pleasure lasts approximately for a 6-hour trip on the water with marching speed of 5.5 km/h (3 knots) and a range in 33km.
- If you are planning longer and more leisurely trips on the water, you will actually get much further with less power. With 1/4 of the power, a speed of 3.7 km/h (2 knots) was achieved for 20 hours. So a total range of 74 km (40 nautical miles). And that with only one battery charge.
The charger for the Travel interchangeable battery
In displacement travel, the power required increases exponentially. If you want to double your speed, you need eight times the power. At the same time you can increase the range on your trip enormously if you reduce the speed a little.

At Torqeedo, particular emphasis is placed on easy handling and safety. Electric mobility on the water is also ideally suited for beginners in boating. The motors and batteries convince with high efficiency, as well as technical refinements such as the integrated on-board system. The manufacturer Torqeedo covers from the Ultralight 403 for kayaks up to 140 hp motors for yachts, pod motors for sailboats or hybrid systems.

Torqeedo was founded in 2005 and has been part of Deutz AG, a manufacturer of electric motor machinery, since 2017. The company, based in Gilching near Munich, sells Torqeedo products internationally and has a large service network. Torqeedo, by the way, is made up of the English words torque (torque) and speed (speed).
