Range information
Travel time and range depend on the boat and the battery. In an example with the Cruise 2.0 and the Power 24-3500 battery, we have the following readings for powerboats and sailboats up to 3 tons:
- Under full load the electric motor lasts approximately 1:45 hours. The speed in the case is around 11 km/h (6 knots). Within the short time, a range of 19 kilometers could thus be covered. (10.5 nautical miles).
- If you are planning longer and more leisurely trips on the water, you can even get much further with less power. At 1/4 power, a speed of 5 km/h was achieved for 8 hours (2.7 knots). So a total range of 40 km (21 nautical miles). And that with only one battery charge.
The charger for Cruise 10.0
In displacement mode, the power required increases exponentially. If you want to double your speed, you need eight times the power. At the same time, you can increase the range on your trip enormously if you reduce the speed a little.

Torqeedo was founded in 2005 and has been part of Deutz AG, a manufacturer of electric motor machinery, since 2017. The company, based in Gilching near Munich, sells Torqeedo products internationally and has a large service network. Torqeedo, by the way, is made up of the English words torque (torque) and speed (speed).
